Poor little sweet pea . . . my pediatrician gave me the best tip: he said to rub a tiny bit of liquid Benadryl on my son's gums just before bedtime (he said I could do it three times a day, but I did it only at bedtime). It's written all over the bottle that the medicine is not for children under age 6 or so--but he told me that a tiny amount on the gums is soothing and more effective than Orajel (which he doesn't recommend at all). It worked like a CHARM for us!
