I feel like I JUST finished writing his seven month post! I can't believe how quickly he is growing and learning and changing.
We weighed him on the bathroom scale and he's about 18.5 pounds now - big boy!! He LOVES to be held all the time, so I'm getting quite the workout these days. :)
His new favorite thing to do is pinch everything between his two little fingers and so we're now clipping his fingernails like every three days because skin is one of his favorite things to pinch. OUCH. He has definitely caused some pain!
This month was the first month where we've really had to start saying, "No." I don't think he understands it quite yet, but hopefully it's sinking in somewhere. Whether he's poking at the DVD player or pinching or pulling hair - we're trying to start setting some boundaries. :)He is also getting up on his hands and knees now - no crawling yet, but I'm really enjoying these last few days of having baby who isn't constantly getting into everything. He's still rolling everywhere and trying to scoot around, but he's a pretty slow mover. :) How do you moms with a mobile baby ever take showers??
when my son was younger, I would put him in the walker while I took a shower. I knew he couldn't get into too much trouble that way :) We had the Jeep walker, too :) Now my little one is 19 months old! It goes by so fast; enjoy every milestone!

Seriously.
Used one with all four. Usually put them just outside the bathroom [too small to put it inside] or when they were old enough to be fascinated by VeggieTales... in front of the TV with Bob and Larry on it.

Discipline....yeah....we've had to amp it up a bit more lately. :(
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as getting a shower, I used to put N in the door jumper or his exersaucer (or his bouncy seat until he started climbing out of it -ha!). Now, I just try to get up before he does. ;)

Early in the morning, during naps, or right before bed is when I get my shower. Sometimes I shower with Brandon. He sits in the tub while I shower. Brandon loves it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom would put us kids in either a baby carrier in front of the shower, take it when we were napping, or just take it when dad was home...apparently it's a lot of work! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey isn't today your anniversary? Happy anniversary!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I posted that on the 15th...
ReplyDeleteJust like everyone else, I put my 2 oldest kids in the exersaucer/walker/bouncy seat so I could get a shower in. Then - surprise - we had our 3rd. Now he's 10 months old, while my other 2 are 8 & 6. My 8 & 6 year-olds LOVE to entertain Jensen so I can get a shower in. It's great!:)
